We work with lots of property landlords helping them maintain the gutters on their investment properties which they have worked hard to acquire.
From time to time we notice things that are unusual or even dangerous in which the landlord is often unaware.
Believe it or not, It’s is certainly possible for fires to start in your gutter. On hot sunny days, the debris in your gutters will dry and could turn dead grass, plants and weeds into potentially combustible material.
To start a fire, all it requires is an ignition source.
We have seen many properties where the gutters have filled with discarded cigarette nubs which have been flicked up onto the roof and has then rolled down into the gutter.
The featured image on this post is a job we went to where a fire was started in the gutter.
