Hope and Anchor Gutter Cleaning & Repair Maintenance

An early start on a Sunday morning was required to complete gutter cleaning maintenance and a number of gutter repairs at the Hope and Anchor public house in Wirksworth. The pub is situated on what is usually a busy route in the centre of town, so this required careful planning and a risk assessment to ensure the health and safety of the public and our team. We opted for a 5:00am start on a quiet Sunday morning which would to enable us to complete the work with little to no traffic or footfall minimising disruption and making the job much safer to do.

The use of the cherry picker van enabled us to access the gutters quickly and easily, and with three banks men in position we were able to set up the cherry picker van in multiple positions efficiently.

The gutters were cleaned of debris consisting mainly of silt and moss that had washed in from the roof, but the main reason for the visit was to secure a loose section of gutter that posed a danger to the public. After cleaning and securing the gutter we decided to give the customer added value by resealing several other gutter joints that looked in need of a little TLC. Before finishing up and while we were able to with the cherry picker, we checked and tested the rest of the guttering system for faults.
