Terrace Housing Block Gutter Cleaning
Richard from our Franchise based in Tamworth, Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield recently cleaned out the gutters on four properties which share the same guttering system. The four property owners who understood the importance of gutter cleaning, teamed up to ensure it was all sorted out at the same time.
As you can see from the photos, the gutters were full of moss and silt which were clogging the gutters and preventing water from draining accordingly.
We see shared gutter problems on a daily basis, and most of the problems could have been avoided. The gutter problems are usually a consequence of the lack of gutter maintenance on one or more of the properties within the block. A lack of maintenance on one of the properties could result in gutter related issues for someone else within the block who shares the gutter. If rainwater cannot flow freely across the entire length of the gutter, it could back up and cause the gutter to leak, overflow, and even flood one of the properties. If left untreated, it will likely go on to cause more substantial damage to the gutters and fabric of the property.
Agreeing a planned gutter maintenance schedule with your neighbours is a really good way to maintain shared gutters. Not only is it morally right, but it is also much more effective, prolongs the life of the gutter, prevents blockages and prevents disputes.
Furthermore we were able to offer a nice gutter cleaning discount to each of the residents as an added bonus to them.
Sharing the bill with your neighbour(s) whether you live in a semi-detached, town, or terrace property will make gutter cleaning maintenance more affordable and make the whole process quicker and easier.
